First workshop (Athens and Essen)

Wednesday 13 February 2013, by noTours team

The purpose of the first workshop in Athens and Essen was to design simultaneously a conceptual and practical framework in order to develop a project with noTours approaching the experience of the city through the practice of walking and listening as forms of knowledge.

Soundscape, sound composition, phonography, performance or drift were suggested as exercises that help us to understand how sound events shape the spaces we inhabit and how working with this material we can transform or resignificate them.

Next step will be to create some site-specific projects form this experiences composing a complex soundwalk based on Locative audio.
